    Applicants for admission to the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery General Nursing Training Program must hold a Certificate of Higher Secondary Education (SSCE) or the equivalent of five credits to enter English, Physics, Chemistry or Biology in no more than two sessions.

Duration of study: Three (3) Calendar years.
Registration obtained: Registered Nurse (RN).

  1. POST BASIC MIDWIFERY PROGRAMME (RM)

The applicant must be a registered nurse and meet all the institutional requirements to be admitted to one of the midwifery schools.

Duration of study: One (1) Calendar year.
Registration obtained: Registered Midwife (RM).

  1. POST BASIC PSYCHIATRIC NURSING PROGRAMME

Applicants must be registered nurses and meet all institutional requirements to be admitted to one of the eight (8) psychiatric nursing schools.

Duration of study: One (1) Calendar year.
Registration obtained: Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).

  1. BACHELOR OF NURSING SCIENCE DEGREE PROGRAMME (B. N.SC)

Applicant must have five credit levels in WASSCE/SSCE or equivalent in a maximum of two sessions. Subjects must include English, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics. Applicants must also meet all institutional requirements.

Duration of education: Five (5) calendar years with one year of experience in an accredited health facility.

Registrations obtained: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Registered Mental Nurse (RPN).
Academic degree: Bachelor of Nursing (B.N.sc).
